Purpose

Men Elevating Men Inc. is a 501c3 nonprofit organization. Our mission is to provide male youth ages 12 to 17 a mentor. A mentor who is willing to share their knowledge, skills and/or experience to help a teen grow and develop.

Who Should Apply?

Adult males ages 19 to 45 who have a desire to make a difference in the life of a youth. 

And undergraduate students with at least one year of completion and graduate students.

Men Elevating Men Inc wants mentors who have the following attributes:

C. A commitment and desire to help others.

D. A determination to succeed.

E. A strong commitment to family.

The Elaine Riley Community Service Scholarship

Men Elevating Men Inc will award Community Service Scholarships to undergraduate or graduate students who are selected to become mentors.  Each mentor will receive a $1,000 Community Service Scholarship. 

Eligibility

1. Applicant must be a registered student in a two-year, four- year or graduate school in the state of Georgia College and University system.     

2.  Applicant must have completed at least one year of undergraduate studies. 

Commitment

Men Elevating Men Inc require our mentors to meet with their mentee weekly or bi-weekly for an 8-month school calendar year.  One on one Mentoring sessions are held in person and virtually.    

1. Required 8-month commitment October 2025 thru May 2026

2. Required to attend a 3-hour Mentor training session.  

3. Required to attend a Mandated Reporter certificate course.

4. Required to pass a criminal background check.

5. Required to provide two personal references.
